Sashiko

Sashiko is a traditional Japanese hand-stitching technique, meaning "little stabs." Originally used to reinforce and mend worn clothing with simple running stitches, typically with white thread on indigo fabric, it has evolved into a beautiful decorative art for quilts, garments, and accessories, often featuring different colors and patterns.
